The Episcopal Diocese of Colorado is entering a new season in the life of the people and structures of the diocese. Following many years of prayer, study, discernment, hoping and dreaming, we now have a place for Colorado Episcopalians to gather in worship and prayer, in joy and exploration, in community.
The report of the Camp and Conference Task Force (October 2008) reported the desire and need for such a place to gather the diocese, develop our leaders, and to minister the love of God to our children and youth. The 2008 diocesan convention called on Bishop O’Neill to look for such a place. After looking at and walking through forty-three properties the Lord led us to a property near Woodland Park—a property that met or exceeded anything we had hoped or dreamed – a place where we can build upon the legacy many years of faith formation and camping ministry, and build our own legacies.
We invite you to enter into this new season with us and support us in this incredible opportunity and initiative. We will need your prayers, service, and gifts.
