E.Y. E. (Episcopal Youth Event) is an International Triennial gathering for youth who have completed grades 9 – 12 and their sponsors. E.Y.E. is an event that celebrates the rich diversity of the Episcopal Church and aims to recognize and celebrate that diversity by increasing knowledge and understanding of all racial, ethnic, and cultural groups and socio-economic realities. The event aims to build and strengthen a sense of self-identity among participants, as well as Christian identity, in young people from all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
E.Y.E. takes place July 8th through July 13th 2008 at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. It will include general sessions with speakers, as well as small group time, workshops, worship and plenty of free time with activities. The event starts on Tuesday July 8th with registration taking place between 2pm and 6pm. It ends on Sunday July 13th at 2pm.
Cost - $480 per person, excluding travel. Flights to San Antonio currently run around $200. Included in the registration fee are room and board, program costs, ground transportation to and from San Antonio International Airport and a t-shirt. Rooms will be double occupancy with every two sleeping rooms sharing bathroom facilities.
