The journey of a search for a new leader is not just a matter of resume analysis, preference and argument. It’s not a matter of finding someone who is adequate to the task. It is not a matter of special interest groups being in control. The search process is about prayerful listening. Going through the interim process and calling a rector is always done best when done with care and discernment rather than hurry and compromise. In God’s good time, good things will come.
