Letter regarding Presiding Bishop election

Due to resignations of clergy deputies from Colorado’s deputation to General Convention, the Standing Committee of the Diocese directed Bishop Robert O’Neill to appoint a third clergy alternate to fill a vacant spot at its May 16 – 17 meeting. This appointment will ensure that Colorado retains its full clergy representation at General Convention in Columbus, June 13 – 21, particularly in the unlikely event that other clergy deputies would be unable to exercise their duties. Bishop O’Neill has appointed The Rev. Dr. Edward Konieczny, Rector of St. Matthew’s in Grand Junction and president of the Standing Committee as the third clergy alternate.
